hi! so it's obviously been many months since i have posted something here. i thought i was done with blogging. just found other things to do with my time. but, it's the week between christmas and new year's and i have time off from work, which means i actually have some extra time to catch up on tv shows and just relax. i decided to visit my blog and look back at some of my posts from over the year. it's actually pretty cool looking back at what i wrote months ago. it reminded me of people/things/places i haven't thought about for months. and that was enough to motivate myself to get back to writing here. it's been about 4 months from my last post and a lot has happened. here's a little recap:
* in july i moved back to massachusetts after living in nyc for 3 years. when i first moved back, i was living with my parents and didn't have a job.
* after a lot of days spent tanning in the sun, just hanging around and interviewing occasionally, i decided to move out of the suburbs with my parents and into boston. i got an apartment with 2 other girls my age and it's been working out well.
* i moved out and started paying rent before i had a job. i had money saved up to be able to pay rent without a job for a few months, but of course finding a source of income was then made a priority. by the luck of genuine niceness, a client of mine from my previous agency offered to pass my resume along to someone he went to grad school with. he didn't have any direct connections to where i wanted to work, but i was kind of desperate at that point. he kept following up on my resume, which was passed to the person he went to school with to her old boss to his wife to hr at one of the few companies in boston i really wanted to work for. i got called in for an interview and accepted a job only a couple weeks after moving into boston. i'm happy with my job. it's at one of the biggest companies in my industry in boston, it pays more than i was getting last year, and it's not stressful.
* i met a guy at a house party a couple months ago who i've been dating since then. i met him when i totally didn't expect to meet someone. i was just at my friend's having fun, drinking a lot, and even doing a little dancing. him and i were hanging out/making out that night and just having fun. in the haze of the night, i gave him my number, but really didn't think much of it. 2 weeks later, i was out with a friend for some drinks talking about how we've both been single forever, wondering how we could meet a guy when the guy from the party called. i called him back later that night and we ended up going out the next week. he's a really nice guy and fun to be with and it feels good to be with a guy who treats me well and calls when he says he will after all the ridiculous guys i went out with in ny. but now it's been a couple months and i'm not sure what's going to happen. i don't think i'm ready for a relationship, or maybe it's just that i'm not ready for a relationship with him. i don't know. i'm going to see him at the new year's party i'm going to and i'm just gonna see how things go. i'm sure they'll be more on that later.
well that's pretty much what has happened since my last post. moved to an apartment in boston, got a job, met a guy, and have been enjoying hanging out with my friends and family. it's good to be back.

Yessss!!! I was so pumped to see a new post from you today! And so happy to hear that you're going to be doing more blogging! I mean, I don't know any of our other friends "in real life" who blog, so I think it's kinda cool. That we'll be blogging about some of the same things, places we go, parties, guys (ahem), etc.
Talk to you soon and see you New Years! xo
Welcome back!
Looks like you're getting off to the new year quite nicely. It's funny how when you're resolved to be complacent with the way your life is that it's THEN things pick up. Glad to hear!
